Is insomnia just a modern urban dweller's problem? It turns out that even 300 years ago, people had trouble sleeping. Legend has it that Bach's Goldberg Variations was originally composed for a count who suffered from insomnia. While we cannot verify this, music and sleep are often discussed together. This time, we have invited psychiatrist Dr. Elvis Lai to share about the relationship between music and sleep hygiene. How exactly can music improve our sleep hygiene?
This event will be conducted in Cantonese.

About Aura Music
Aura Music is a young education charity founded in 2019 to foster a lifelong love of learning through the joy of music—for both the young in age and the young at heart.
Our activities take music education beyond extracurricular instrument practice and place it at the centre of learning. To inspire curiosity in music’s relationship to the wider world, we organise interactive workshops for children, mentorship programmes for young adults, and pre- and post-concert activities for audiences of all ages. And to bring the wider world back to music, we curate concerts that introduce young Asian musicians to new audiences, collaborators, and ideas.
Whatever the format, our learning activities are fueled by one belief: that behind every sound is a story, and behind every story is a connection. To fields like philosophy, physics, linguistics, and architecture. To other people, places, and cultures. And ultimately, to ourselves.
